Saturday April 21 is International Astronomy Day. The Ottawa Centre will have display tables set up inside the Canada Aviation and Space Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Upon paid museum admission you will have a chance to ask local astronomers questions about the night sky and telescopes. We will have a meteorite display as well as handing out free printed material.
The RASC Ottawa Centre will also offer free daytime observing to the public at the front entrance of the museum with views of the Sun, Moon and possibly Venus.
You can also join us in the evening for a public star party with a large variety of telescopes to observe through.
Both viewing events depend on clear skies, so watch this page for last minute announcements.
