AstroNotes – RASC Ottawa’s monthly newsletter
The main reason we astro-nerds exist as a group is to share our enthusiasm and knowledge with each other and the world.
Our newsletter is one of the long-standing ways RASC Ottawa does so.
Over 60 years of publishing makes AstroNotes a stable and long-lived record of RASC Ottawa’s evolution and its members’ innovation and development in a volatile age of social media.
AstroNotes helps our members to be aware of who we are, what we do. It welcomes everybody and encourages participation.
Occasional member bios, tales of adventurous travel, technical pieces on tricks and traps, limericks, and recipes and observation reports make AstroNotes a welcome and un-put-downable asset for every astronomers cloudy and full-moon nights.
Way, WAY better than National Geographic!
We all benefit by letting each other know what we’re up to as individuals and as a group, how to join in with planned activities and events, and by reporting each month’s events.
