I have a Ph.D. in astrophysics from York University in Toronto, working in the field of quasar accretion disk winds. During my academic studies, I have also worked and volunteered in several science communication positions, such as the York University Astronomical Observatory, the Ontario Science Centre, and the Boys and Girls club of Canada.
Science communication and outreach combines multiple passions of mine as well as fosters social inclusion and community in the most perfect way. The world of science is an amazing place full of unbelievable phenomena, and there is no shortage of people who want to know about it.
As a passionate science communicator, Jesse Rogerson loves promoting science literacy to the public. He frequently represents the Canada Aviation and Space Museum on television and radio, social media, and at conferences. A trained and practising astrophysicist.
